B&C Morning Show: Craig's Departure; Jerry's Update

With Craig stepping out to promote his book on "FOX & Friends," Boomer was quick to throw it to Jerry Recco so that he could get started with his first update of the morning, which began with the Miami Heat.

LeBron and company evened things up with the Spurs with a 103-84 Game 2 win in South Beach. This one will be remembered for a game-changing (perhaps series-altering) block by LeBron James on Spurs center Tiago Splitter in the fourth quarter (pictured). Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday night in San Antonio.

In other NBA news, after retiring just a few weeks ago and despite having two years and $6 million still on the table, word is that Jason Kidd wants to be the next head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

Moving right along to the baseball diamond, the Mets have reached a new low -- even for them -- after getting swept (again) by the 18-44 Miami Marlins. Terry Collins got a little tongue-tied while trying to comment on his inept offense. Meanwhile, Sandy Alderson has apparently seen enough and opted to demote Ike Davis, Mike Baxter and Robert Carson to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Plus, the Yankees have won six of their last seven after taking three of four from the Mariners out in Seattle. Yesterday's 2-1 win was highlighted by a ninth-inning RBI single courtesy of Chris Stewart, which obviously pleases Craig.

Speaking of Craig, he eventually made his return to the Allstate Studio just in time to rip former Jets tight end Dustin Keller for his less-than-flattering comments about Gang Green and the "nonsense" surrounding the organization...
