NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A passenger jet clipped a hangar Saturday as it was being towed through John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The winglet of a TAM Airlines Airbus A-330 struck the hangar Saturday morning. The part actually became dislodged from the aircraft and got stuck to the outside wall of the hangar.

The plane was being towed to the hangar for parking when the accident occurred.

No one was injured in the accident, but the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were contacted to investigate.
