Police: Car Jumps Curb, Kills Woman In Sheepshead Bay
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A woman was killed by a car that jumped a curb in Sheepshead Bay on Saturday.
Police arrived at the corner of Shore Parkway and Bragg Street and found Karin Eberts-Ayub, 53, unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to her body.
First responders arrived and pronounced the woman dead. An investigation determined that Eberts-Ayub was struck by a 2012 Ford Fusion, traveling westbound on Shore Parkway, according to police.
The vehicle then slammed into a tree at the same location, the driver was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition, charges are pending, police said.
