Oreo Comes Out With New Flavor For Summer: Watermelon
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The makers of Oreo have come out with a new flavor just in time for summer.
Watermelon Oreos feature a bright green and pink filling between two vanilla wafers.
The cookies debuted on June 10. 1010 WINS staffers bought a box and hit the streets to find out what people thought of the new flavor.

"I'm used to the regular Oreos and I was OK with the vanilla Oreos, but I'm not really sure about the watermelon flavor, it kind of puts me off a little bit," one woman said.
"It's interesting, kind of tastes like a Jolly Rancher," another woman said.
"Too sweet, I like the original Oreo better," another woman said.
"It's a nice change, a little lighter than the classic black and white," one man said.
"It tastes good but I prefer the original," another man said. "There's two competing flavors in there."
1010 WINS morning news anchors Judy DeAngelis and Lee Harris tried it for themselves Friday morning.
"Nice, sweet, best thing -- they're seedless," DeAngelis said.
"Not bad, kind of watermelon candy-tasting, but don't go by me I also like airline food," Harris said.

The cookies are available for a limited time at Target locations nationwide and cost about $3 a box.
