That's Wright! Boomer & Carton 'All-Star Sweatshop' A Total Success

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The last we heard, David Wright was trailing San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval by around 126,000 votes for the starting nod in the 2013 All-Star Game.

Enter the "Boomer & Carton" morning show.

Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton refused stand by and watch another team's guy standing on third base at Citi Field. Come on now! So they launched their "All-Star Sweatshop" idea last week, and it opened for business on Friday.

The show got its hands on 70,000 authentic MLB All-Star Game paper ballots. Beginning at 7 a.m., about 25 women -- including ladies with local Mets-themed apparel brand The 7 Line -- punched away at breakneck speeds in hopes of filling out every single one.

Carton announced just prior to signing off the air at 10 a.m. that the final box of 1,500 ballots was about to make its way to the workshop. He added that once all 70,000 votes are boxed back up, Mitch Modell of Modell's Sporting Goods will hand-deliver them to the Mets.

Now here's a not-so-subtle reminder to do your part: Vote Wright!
