Man's Drowning Is 44th Sandy-Related Death In NYC

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Another death is being blamed on superstorm Sandy.

A 62-year-old man's body was found in his trailer home on Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Queens in April.

The medical examiner's office now says he drowned during the Oct. 29 storm.

He becomes the 44th Sandy-related fatality in New York City.

The storm was blamed for more than 100 deaths in 10 states, with many victims drowning in their homes.

In New York City alone, 36 of the 44 deaths were from drowning.
