B&C Morning Show: Changing The Landscape Of New York Basketball

After taking Friday off to enjoy a summer day, Boomer and Craig had a lot to cover this morning, beginning with the NBA. The Knicks are close to finalizing a deal that will land them Andrea Bargnani, and the Nets have already pulled off a deal that brings Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to Brooklyn.

For better or worse, there is no denying that the landscape of basketball in New York has certainly been altered.

So after covering some NBA offseason news and notes, it was on to the baseball diamond. Craig sent Al Dukes and Jerry Recco -- along with a couple of buses filled with Mets fans --  to Citi Field yesterday to show support for David Wright's All-Star bid, while the Mets sent Zack Wheeler to the mound and the rookie's underwhelming performance in the 13-2 loss has Craig thinking that the hype surrounding Wheeler may not be justified.

The Yanks get swept by "Ding Dong" Buck Showalter's Orioles, extending their slide to five games, and at 42-39, find themselves in fourth place in the AL East, trailing the first place Red Sox by 6.5 games. Uh-Oh!!!

Craig summed things up by labeling today as "Everybody Sucks Monday" -- so there you have it...
