Cops Searching For Man Accused Of Assault On MTA Bus Driver

Attack Apparently Occurred At Delancey And Columbia Streets

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police were looking for a man accused of attacking a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver on Monday night.

The attack happened just before 9 p.m. on an M-14 bus at Delancey and Columbia streets. A passenger punched a female driver in the face several times before grabbing her bag and fleeing the scene, according to police.

The driver was rushed to Beekman Hospital. Her injuries were described as non-life threatening.
