MTA Bus Driver Stabbed In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver was hospitalized after being stabbed Thursday night in the Bronx.

The bus driver was stabbed in an incident around 8 p.m. Thursday at East 148th Street and Third Avenue in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, the MTA told 1010 WINS.

The MTA said the bus was at the end of the route, and the driver was still on the bus when he was attacked.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in an unknown condition.

The attack came just a day after another MTA bus driver was slashed in the right arm in the Bronx, on Southern Boulevard off Westchester Avenue.
