Toddler Found Floating In New Jersey Lake

MONTAGUE, N.J. (AP) — State police say a toddler who wandered away from his family was later found unconscious and floating in northwestern New Jersey lake.

The New Jersey Herald reports the 2-year-old boy was found Saturday night, about 25 feet away from the shoreline of Holiday Lake in Montague.

State police and emergency responders then arrived at the North Shore Point area of the High Point Country Club around 7:40 p.m. They were able to revive the toddler, who was flown to a hospital.

Further details on the boy’s condition were not available Sunday. His name was not disclosed.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
