WANTAGH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Three Nassau County employees have been suspended without pay after being accused of duct taping a fellow worker to a pole and videotaping the incident.

Officials said the incident happened at Wantagh Park, where the acting pool supervisor, 50, and two others duct taped a seasonal worker to a pole.

The matter has been turned over to the district attorney’s office for investigation.

However, the seasonal employee has not filed a complaint about the incident, which occurred last month.

The president of Nassau’s Civil Service Employees Association, the union which represents the three county workers, called the incident “horseplay” and added the three and the seasonal worker are friends.

The president added the union will defend the three employees at a hearing on the matter later this month.

The names of those involved have not been released.
