WANTAGH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Three Nassau County employees have been suspended without pay after being accused of duct taping a fellow worker to a pole and videotaping the incident.

Officials said the incident happened at Wantagh Park, where the acting pool supervisor, 50, and two others duct taped a seasonal worker to a pole.

The matter has been turned over to the district attorney’s office for investigation.

However, the seasonal employee has not filed a complaint about the incident, which occurred last month.

The president of Nassau’s Civil Service Employees Association, the union which┬árepresents the three county workers, called the incident “horseplay” and added the three and the seasonal worker are friends.

The president added the union will defend the three employees at a hearing on the matter later this month.

The names of those involved have not been released.
