B&C Morning Show: Lending Support, A Long-Winded HR Call, A Pending Return And A Blister

Boomer was forced to come to grips with the fact that his efforts to try to lend support to Yankees reliever David Robertson and his quest to be voted into this year's MLB All-Star Game went for naught. Although the Booms took the necessary steps, he blames Craig for the failure.

Jerry "my mistake, I apologize" Recco is accustomed to being blamed for wrong doing -- which is usually just -- so it was only fitting that he was in the mix for a segment that began with blame.

Jerry began his update with John Sterling's long-winded, radio play-by-play call for Lyle Overbay's sixth-inning grand slam, which factored largely in the Bombers' 8-1 win over the Royals. Both Brett Gardner and Travis Hafner left the game with injuries.

On the subject of injuries, some clouds are surrounding around when Derek Jeter will make his return to the pinstripes, and it's unclear whether or not Alex Rodriguez will ever reappear at third base for the Bombers.

Plus, the Mets finish off a sweep of the San Francisco Giants behind a solid performance from rookie pitcher Zack Wheeler's arm and bat. As for his buddy Matt Harvey, Terry Collins and the rest of the Mets' brass have decided that he will skip his next start, a move that comes with great speculation...
