Michael Lohan Visits The Couch To Talk About Lindsay's Recovery

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Lindsay Lohan is said to be returning to New York after she finishes rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic in early August, and Lohan's Dad, Michael Lohan, stopped by The Couch to talk about her recovery.

"[She's] truly better than I've seen her in eight years," Lohan said.

Now Lindsay is set to come out with a docu-series.

"She's really getting a lot of one-on-one therapy, a lot of support, she's building a support system when she gets out, and I think what Oprah's done for her with this docu-series is really going to keep her in line and give the public and the industry a chance to see her," said Michael.

Michael expressed his support for the docu-series, saying he feels constantly being on camera will contribute to Lindsay's recovery.

"I think that what she's doing is going to keep her in check because a camera is going to be on her and she's going to show everyone what she's doing now differently than what she's done before," he said.

Lindsay's father has also come under scrutiny for speaking out to the media regarding Lindsay's troubles.

"When it becomes public, when she's passed out in a car and there's all these horrible things go on in public, sometimes you're forced to do it in that kind of a form, and you know what, people throw darts at me and so on- it's my daughter," Michael said. "Don't tell me how to conduct my life when I know what's really going on and you don't."
