NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man was arrested at the Empire State Building on Tuesday evening, after he was found carrying a gun, police said.
The unidentified man had a pistol permit from Georgia, and was carrying a .40-caliber handgun, officials told 1010 WINS.
Police on Tuesday evening were checking to determine whether the permit was valid.
In the past, tourists have been arrested on illegal weapons charges even if they have permits from other states, 1010 WINS reported.
