Stamford Museum Welcomes 9 Piglets Born Same Day As Royal Prince

STAMFORD, CONN. (CBSNewYork) -- The pomp and circumstance may not have matched London's display, but one farm in Connecticut was excited to welcome nine piglets born on the same day as the royal baby.

The piglets were born late Monday evening.

It has been seven years since piglets were born on Heckscher Farm, according to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.

An official birth announcement was posted outside of the piglets' pasture.

Unlike the royal prince, no names have been selected for the animals, but both the mother and her babies are reportedly doing well.

Stamford Museum & Nature Center is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of art and popular culture, the natural and agricultural sciences, and history.
