NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New Yorkers at Pier 57 on Friday were able to try a little scoop of ice cream that is supposed to taste a lot like the Big Apple.
“We used Six Point Brewery’s Three Bean Stout for the ice cream base, and three bean stout and cream love each other,” said Ben And Jerry’s Taste Guru Eric Fredette.
The unnamed ice cream also features fudge, and caramel corn from Liddabit Sweets, 1010 WINS reporter Gary Baumgarten reported.
New Yorkers voted on the salty-sweet, beer infused flavor.
The Ben & Jerry’s truck will be giving out free samples at War Memorial Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Further stops were to be announced on the truck’s twitter feed.
