The attack happened around 6:20 p.m. Friday in the apartment building at 540 St. Johns Pl. in Brooklyn, a few blocks from Prospect Park.

The woman was in elevator when the suspect walked in and pushed the button for the second floor. When the doors opened, the suspect pushed the woman to the ground and began kicking and punching her, police said.

The victim refused medical attention, police said.
