Family, Cops Searching For Missing Brooklyn Woman

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching for a missing Brooklyn woman on Thursday night.

Greenpoint resident Dana Lauren Bonanno, 33, disappeared around 11 p.m. on July 22.

Bonanno's mother, Donna O'Conner, told police that shortly before her daughter's disappearance she received a text message from Bonanno saying that she was "scared."

"A little after 11, and just said that she was scared, and that's it," O'Conner told 1010 WINS reporter Eileen Lehpamer.

Roommates told The Journal News that Bonanno left the apartment at some point during the evening, taking only her purse, and never returned.

Bonanno has been described as 5-foot-1, 110 pounds ,with brown eyes, and was last seen on Freeman Street wearing a blue dress.

A Facebook page has been set up to keep family and friends informed as the search continues.
