Police: Pedestrian, 16, Killed In Midtown Crash
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are investigating a crash in Midtown that killed a 16-year-old pedestrian.
It happened after 10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 60 Street.
Renee Thompson was crossing Third Avenue when she was hit by a 19-wheel tractor-trailer that was turning onto Third from East 60th Street, police said.
Thompson, who was from the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
The investigation is ongoing.
