BAY SHORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A man was shot in the face and wounded Sunday afternoon on Long Island.

The man was in a vehicle with four others at Prospect Place and Pine Acre Boulevard in Bay Shore when another man walked up and fired a shotgun, Suffolk County police said.

The man was struck in the face, and was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No one was in custody Sunday evening and the investigation continued.
