B&C Morning Show: Monday Morning Update
Jerry Recco was all over it this morning with regard to his update duties, getting things started with the “pink elephant” in the room that is Alex Rodriguez, as we inch closer to MLB officially suspending the Yankees’ third baseman and reportedly 11 others later today. Jerry provided audio of a chatty A-Rod following his performance on Friday night in Trenton.
On the field, the Yanks lost to the Padres, 6-3, as Phil Hughes was terrible once again and Derek Jeter may be heading back to the DL. The Mets didn’t fare much better, thanks in large part to some shoddy defense courtesy of Marlon Byrd, as they fell to the Royals, 6-2.
Plus, Craig is unable to see Tiger Woods earn his 79th career victory because of the standoff between CBS and Time Warner Cable, Joe Namath recalls riding on a bus, Bill Parcells fails to mention Phil Simms during his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction speech and Antonio Cromartie sticks up for Mark Sanchez,. But Boomer believes that it might be smart for the Jets to just go ahead and release Sanchez now and move on…
