Police Search For Thieves Who Snatched Woman’s Purse In N.J. ShopRite

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Police in Brick Township, N.J., were searching Tuesday for several people in connection with the theft of a woman’s purse as she shopped at a local ShopRite store.

The victim told police her purse was snatched from her shopping cart as she walked around the ShopRite store at 744 Route 70 on Sunday. The store released surveillance video and still photos showing the crime in progress.

Police on Tuesday were looking to identify several people of interest in connection with the theft.

An additional still photo showed a black vehicle that the thieves used to flee the scene, police said.
