Driver Killed After Striking Parked Cars In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The driver of a BMW was killed in an early morning accident in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

The accident occurred around 4:10 a.m. near Utica Avenue and Clarendon Road in East Flatbush, police said.

The 23-year-old driver was speeding along Utica Avenue when he struck two parked cars, police said.

He sustained severe body trauma and was taken to Kings County Hospital where he died, police said.

The victim's name has not been released.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
