Woman Charged With Stabbing Man To Death In South Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 55-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with stabbing a man to death in a South Bronx residence.

Police responded around 9 p.m. Friday to a call of a person stabbed inside the building at 963 Prospect Ave. in the Bronx. They found the 50-year-old male victim unresponsive with a stab wound to his torso, police said.

The man was taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His identity had not been released as of early Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, Patricia Nimmons of the Bronx was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the deadly stabbing, police said.

Police did not detail what sparked the incident.
