Josh Duhamel, More Celebrities Take Part In Habitat For Humanity Charity

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Josh Duhamel is about to be a first-time dad, is married to a big time music star -- and he knows how good he has it. That's why he's giving back to the community.

The film star and kicked off the third annual Valspar Hands for Habitat charity campaign on Monday.

The initiative auctions the painted hand prints of Hollywood's hottest stars, like Lea Michele, Heather Graham, Naomi Watts, Stacy Keibler, Minka Kelly, Kate Bosworth and Susan Sarandon, to benefit Habitat for Humanity's Disaster Response Programs.

The proceeds from the auction will help Habitat provide immediate and long-term response solutions to devastating natural disasters, such as superstorm Sandy and the tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas that damaged and destroyed thousands of homes.

"This has been something I've been passionate about for a long time," the North Dakota native said. "This is something that happened back in 2011, in my hometown, when we were flooded."

"What they've done is built over 100,000 homes in the last several years," he said.
