Police: Burglar Struck Same House Twice In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking for the public to help them find a burglar who struck the same house twice in Maspeth, Queens.

The burglar first broke into the house in the area of Calamus Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, police said. He left without taking anything.

He returned in broad daylight, at 4:47 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, police said. On that occasion, he broke into the garage of the same house and stole tools, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers Web site, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
