NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – New York Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani has been ruled out of the FIBA Eurobasket Tournament. According to Sportando, Bargnani has been suffering from pneumonia.

The international tournament is set to begin on September 4.

The Knicks acquired Bargnani in July by trading Steve Novak, Quentin Richardson, Marcus Camby, two second round picks and a future first round pick to the Toronto Raptors.

Bargnani is expected to be ready for Knicks training camp in October.
