NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – According to multiple reports, the Giants have waived injured guard Chris DeGeare and wide receiver Keith Carlos.

The Giants’ roster now stands at 88. During the preseason, NFL teams are allowed to keep 90 players on their rosters.

DeGeare joined the Giants in January 2013. He reportedly suffered MCL and ankle injuries in the Giants’ preseason win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted 161st overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2010.

Carlos was signed by the Giants in June. The former Purdue wide receiver has no professional playing experience.
