Pulaski Skyway Project Could Cause Delays But This Is Just The Beginning

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A weekend roadwork project will impact drivers who use the Pulaski Skyway.

On Friday night workers closed the commuter link between Newark and Jersey City to work on a new support beam. It's only one phase of a billion-dollar project that the Department Of Transportation announced earlier this year.

This phase of the project will end on Monday at 5 a.m.

Following the Super Bowl northbound traffic on the roadway will be shut down for two years.
