NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — The hunt continues for a suspect wanted in connection with an armored truck robbery in Brooklyn.

On Saturday police released new photos of the suspect wanted in connection with the heist.

The robbery occurred at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Canarsie.

As the driver was making a delivery at the Pay-o-Matic check store in a strip mall on Seaview Avenue, he was approached by a masked suspect dressed all in black, police said.

The suspect then got into the armored car and held an object behind the driver’s head.

The driver, believing it was a gun pointed to his head, was forced to drive the suspect to the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Rockaway Avenue.

He then took a white duffel bag that the driver said contained $500,000 and took off, police said.

The location is a routine stop, with one armed guard going inside to transact the daily business, CBS 2’s John Slattery reported.

Regulars at the strip mall told Slattery they were unaware of the heist.

The armored car is operated by Rapid Armored Company of Brooklyn.
