NEW YORK (WLNY) – Candice Kumai, SHAPE magazine’s contributing editor, shared four slimming smoothie recipes for summer.

1- The Chocolate Avocado Goddess

Serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
2 tablespoons dark unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1 frozen banana
1 cup ice
1 cup unsweetened almond milk

2- The San Diego: Mango, Banana, Coconut, protein
Serves 4

2 cup mango chunks
2 Frozen bananas
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 cup ice
2 1/2 cups almond coconut milk blend
2 tablespoons protein powder (optional)

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

3- The Green Banana

2 cups spinach
2 frozen bananas
1 ½ cups almond milk
1 tablespoon protein powder

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

4 – Berry Green Bliss
Serves 4

1 1/2 Frozen bananas
2 cups baby spinach
2 tablespoons almond butter
2 cups almond milk
1 cup ice

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
