Police Search For 2 Suspects In Deadly Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for two suspects in a shooting that killed a 48-year-old man in the Foxhurst section of the Bronx.

Police were dispatched at 5:42 p.m. this past Friday to 1176 Hoe Ave. in the Bronx. Officers found Candido Fernandez lying in front of the address with gunshot wounds to the back of the head and the torso.

Fernandez, of the Bronx, was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police later learned that Fernandez was walking down Hoe Avenue when one suspect came up behind him and shot him in the head. The suspect fled, and handed the weapon to a second man, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos and video of the suspects in the shooting.
