Fire Forces Evacuation Of Bowery Hotel
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Guests at the posh Bowery Hotel were evacuated late Tuesday morning, after a fire broke out in an elevator machinery room.
Just before 11 a.m., the FDNY responded to the hotel at 335 Bowery. Hotel guests were evacuated due to the blaze in the third-floor machinery room, the FDNY told CBS 2.
The extent of the damage from the fire was no immediately learned.
The boutique hotel is located on the Bowery just off East 3rd Street.
