The Term 'Breast Cancer' Refers To At Least A Dozen Diseases

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It was once widely believed that all breast cancers were alike because they all develop in the breast.

But, breast cancer actually refers to at least a dozen different diseases.

Some breast cancers require less surgery. Some spread when they are tiny and others may be treatable in whole new ways.
