Legendary Journalist Chronicles The Early Days Of The Beatles

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Before they became history's greatest band, the Beatles were just four boys from Liverpool with dreams -- and more than a little bit of talent.

Larry Kane was there at the very beginning of the Beatles meteoric rise to fame, with incredible access to the band.

Kane, the only American reporter to have traveled with the Beatles on every stop of their 1964 and 1965 American tours.

His book, When They Were Boys, completes an unintended Beatles trilogy. Kane never planned to write three books, but found that because he had spent so much time with the Beatles, he had always wondered how it really all began.
