Mets And Yankees Release 2014 Schedules
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Mets and Yankees released their 2014 regular season schedules on Tuesday. New York's crosstown rivals will play a four-game home-and-home series at Yankee Stadium on May 12-13 and Citi Field on May 14-15.
Citi Field will host the Mets' March 31 season opener against the Washington Nationals. The Amazin's will face a harsh road tripe in late May. From then until early July, the Mets will play 24 of 32 games on the road.
Multiple West Coast visits are highlights of the Mets' 2014 schedule. The Mets will travel to Oakland and Seattle during interleague play. They will also visit Anaheim and will host the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
The Yankees will open the 2014 campaign in Houston against at Minute Maid Park on April 1. Their home opener is against the Baltimore Orioles on May 7.
Yankee Stadium will get their first taste of the 2014 Red Sox rivalry between April 10-13. The Chicago Cubs visit Yankee Stadium on April 15-16. Wrigley Field will host the Bombers on May 20-21.
Fenway Park the final regular series for the Yankees on September 26-28.
