Cops Look For Stony Brook Bank Robber

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County police are searching for a man who robbed a Capitol One Bank in Stony Brook on Tuesday.

The robber hit the branch located at 64 Main St. around 12:40 p.m., demanding cash from a teller, police said. The employee handed over an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is white; 35 to 40 years old; standing approximately 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall; with medium build and balding hair. He was wearing blue jeans and dark-colored sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
