Pedestrian Critically Injured In Whitestone, Queens Crash

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A pedestrian was in critical condition Monday afternoon, after being struck by a car in Queens.

A car jumped the curb and struck at least one person around 2:15 p.m. in the Whitestone section of Queens, police told 1010 WINS.

The accident happened on the Whitestone Expressway Service Road at 20th Avenue, police said.

There were at least two people in the car, but it was not clear if either was injured, police said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation Monday afternoon.
