Cab Driver Who Crashed Into British Tourist Can Get Back Behind The Wheel

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The taxi driver who crashed into a British tourist, severing one of her legs, will be able to get back behind the wheel.

Mohammad Himon picked up his TLC license on Thursday, CBS 2 reported.

On August 20, Himon lost control of his taxi and jumped a curb in Midtown slamming into Sian Green.

Himon claimed a hostile bicyclist caused his cab to jump a curb on Sixth Ave near Radio City Music Hall.

Following the accident Himon expressed remorse for the accident.

"I'm very sorry about that," said Himon. "I will always pray for her and her family. If I do something, I'm going to do for her. I'm going to always pray for her. I wish her good luck."

Green was released from the hospital on Thursday.

Himon served a thirty-day TLC suspension.
