Ronan Farrow Brushes Off Newly Sparked Paternity Rumors With Funny Tweet

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- While we may not know who Ronan Farrow's biological father is, one thing is for sure -- the guy has a sense of humor.

After a Vanity Fair feature with famous mom, Mia Farrow, sparked rumors that Frank Sinatra is actually the father to Ronan, 25, the young lawyer made a joke about the scandal on Twitter.

"Listen," he wrote. "We're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."

In an interview with the magazine, Mia Farrow said that Sinatra is "possibly" the father to Ronan. It had been believed that longtime partner Woody Allen was Ronan's dad.

Farrow said that she was still involved with Old Blue Eyes even during her time with Allen, saying "we never really split up." Farrow and Sinatra were married from 1966-68. The singer of classics such as "New York, New York" and "My Way" would have been 78 when Ronan was conceived in 1987.

When shown photos of Ronan, Sinatra and Allen on Wednesday, Sinatra fans in New York told CBS 2's Dave Carlin that they'd guess Sinatra's was the man's father.

"I'd be 99.9 percent thinking it's him," said Cynthia Gregory, as she pointed to Sinatra's picture.

"He looks like (Sinatra)," Priscilla Pennington said of Ronan.

"They got the same features," said Sinatra fan Louis Patalano. "He doesn't look like Woody at all."

Patalano said it was also possible knowing Farrow and Sinatra's relationship.

"Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra, I think they never lost their love, and maybe they did have a child."

But Carol Camarena of the Fordham section of the Bronx did not have such a strong opinion on the matter. She said she had never heard of Sinatra or Farrow, although in a photo lineup, she picked Sinatra as appearing to be Ronan Farrow's father, rather than Allen.

Ronan was born in Manhattan, enrolled in Bard College at Simon's Park in Massachusetts at age 11 and graduated from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., at age 15. He later graduated from Yale Law school.

A DNA test to determine his paternity was never conducted, and there is no word if he wants one.
