The head of the lab advisory board told Newsday that no one is going to get out of jail following the retesting.

Michael Balboni said all the results must be reviewed by county consultants, but all the verdicts are likely to stand.

The police lab was shut down in 2011 due to evidence testing mistakes.

A new lab is now operating in the medical examiner's office and has taken on much of the work of the police lab.
