1 Killed, 2 Injured After Being Hit By NJ TRANSIT Train

DOVER, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Service on the Morris and Essex NJ TRANSIT line was suspended Tuesday night, after one person was struck and killed by a train and two others were critically hurt.

Police said a group trespassing on a rail bridge in Dover, N.J., was struck by a train.

The 30 people on the train were not hurt.

The Morris and Essex Line has been suspended during the investigation. NJ TRANSIT said service should be restored for the morning rush.

The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately learned. As of late Tuesday, police had not indicated why the group was on the tracks.
