Nike, NFL Unveil New Pro Bowl Uniforms
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Out with the old, in with the new.
The National Football League is ditching its AFC vs. NFC format for the Pro Bowl in favor of a fantasy-style player draft. And with that new look will come — a new look, courtesy of Nike.
Brand new Pro Bowl uniforms were unveiled by the company on Tuesday, featuring a sleeker look and “optimal ventilation” for the heat of Honolulu, Hawaii.
The unis also have “amplified design details like vibrant color accents and Pro Bowl achievement stars on the nameplates,” the NFL and Nike said in a statement.
“The uniform design and the game itself share a common theme that highlights the new, faster format for the Pro Bowl,” the statement said.
The format and uniforms aren’t the only things changing. The NFL also gave the boot to kickoffs in the Pro Bowl.
This season’s game is scheduled for Jan. 26 at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.
