NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Four teenage suspects were charged this week in connection with a stabbing that left a Brooklyn teen dead back in June.

Kenny Chen, 17, was found stabbed at 26th and Benson avenues in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn early on the morning of Sunday, June 9, police said at the time.

Chen was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital after suffering a stab wound to the torso.

On Tuesday, police arrested four suspects in connection with Chen’s death. One of them – Peter Sedeno, 17, of Queens – was charged with second-degree murder, assault, and gang assault.

Three other suspects – Daquan Jackson, 17, of Middletown; Dayshawn Young, 17, of Brooklyn; and Daine Daley, 17, of Queens, were all charged with gang assault, police said.

Published reports said Chen, who attended at Murry Bergtraum High School, was lured outside by a cellphone call from a person he knew. While the New York Post reported at the time that Chen was carrying a large amount of marijuana, other reports said there was no evidence that his slaying was drug-related.
