NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police were on the hunt Friday for suspects who allegedly tried to steal goods from the Tourneau store on Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan.

On Thursday afternoon, police said the suspects tried to break a display case with a hammer, but were unsuccessful and fled the store empty-handed.

The suspects fled in a 1992-1997 silver or white, Mercury Marquis or Grand Marquis, that has a black front bumper, police said.
