Brooklyn Carjacker Snags Running Vehicle With Child In The Back Seat

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching for a carjacking suspect in Brooklyn on Friday night.

The incident took place in Bed-Stuy near the corner of Fulton Street and Verona Place, authorities said.

A woman reported that she was driving with a child in the back seat. She pulled over and left the vehicle running with the child still inside while she went inside of a house. When the woman came back outside the child and the car were gone.

The child was later found unharmed at a gas station on Atlantic Avenue and Hendrix Street, according to authorities.
