Daylight Saving Time Ends On Sunday Morning

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Daylight Saving Time came to an end on Sunday.

Clocks will "fall back" at 2 a.m. on Sunday. New Yorkers with laptops, tablets, and smartphones should see the change take place automatically.

Those with non-digital clocks will be an hour ahead when they wake up on Sunday morning or can turn their clocks back before going to bed.

The time change will give runners in the New York City Marathon a chance to catch an extra hour of sleep.

Fire departments across the Tri-State area pointed to the day as a reminder to change the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
