Suspects In Shooting Death Of Brooklyn Toddler Due In Court
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Two men charged in the shooting death of a Brooklyn toddler are set to appear in court on Friday.
Daquan Breland and Daquan Wright are charged with murder and weapons possession in the September death of 16-month-old Antiq Hennis.
Authorities said the boy's father, Anthony Hennis, was pushing him in a stroller while crossing a street in Brownsville when four shots were fired.
The child was struck on the left side of his face and pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police believe Hennis, a reputed gang member with a lengthy arrest record, was the intended target in the shooting.
