No Arrest Has Been Made

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police Sunday evening were searching for the suspect who shot and killed a man on the grounds of a Lower East Side public housing development.
The officers responded to a 911 call just after 4 a.m. and found an unconscious 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso in front of 15 St. James Pl., a building in the Smith Houses development.
The victim was transported to New York Downtown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police as of late Sunday afternoon had not released the victim’s name. No arrests had been made, and the homicide investigation continued.
