Price For New Cocktail At Langham Place Hotel Bar Includes Ride In Maserati

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A certain new cocktail on the menu at the Langham Place hotel bar on Fifth Avenue will set you back $176, but the price also includes a ride in a top-of-the-line sports car.

The cocktail – called the Quattroporte – is made with the top-shelf liquors Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and Plymouth gin, and stirred and strained into a flute full of Krug champagne, according to a Gothamist report.

And you cannot just sidle up to the bar and order a Quattroporte, along with a Bombay Sapphire and tonic and a couple of pints of Guinness for your friends. The cocktail must be ordered 24 hours in advance, according to the publication.

But the hotel said on its Facebook page that the steep price and complex ordering process are worth it.

"The new Quattroporte cocktail at Measure Lounge may cost $176 and it may need to be ordered 24 hours in advance, but at least you know you'll get a ride home... in the form of a brand new Maserati!" the hotel said.

Specifically, the price includes a ride in a Maserati Quattroporte, which is capable of speeds of 176 mph, the publication reported. After consuming the drink, the hotel will take you anywhere in Manhattan in the Maserati, Gothamist reported.

The Quattroporte is only available during the month of November, the publication reported. As of Friday, the publication said none had yet been sold, although the story has since gone viral.
